1 Sourcing Materials

We strive to leave a gentle footprint by focusing on fibers that are sustainably sourced. We choose plants that are organically grown, animal fibers from humanely treated animals, and recycled material from post consumer waste.

2 Fabric Production

We value working with materials in their natural habitats. All aspects of production, from sourcing the raw materials, yarn spinning, dyeing, to cutting & sewing are as localized as possible. This reduces our carbon footprint.

3 Dyeing

We use low impact and azo-free dyes on our garments. This reduces the toxins in the environment and prevents them from being next to your skin. Water used in the dyeing process is collected, cleaned, and reused.

4 Knitting & Sewing

All of our garments are made on small sewing floors by highly skilled artisans to ensure excellent quality and working conditions. We visit our factories multiple times each year to be sure that our standards are always being met and we value the close relationships it has allowed us to build.

5 Made To Last

We believe in designing garments that will stand the test of time. We create artfully simple, timeless style made with excellent construction and premium fabrics. In a world consumed with more, we believe the time has come for less.

Responsibility is at the core of everything we do. Take comfort in how our clothes feel, look and are made.

Bamboo

Bamboo is an environmentally friendly crop, it grows rapidly, reaching maturity in three years and naturally regenerates. All of our bamboo is grown organically. Bamboo absorbs five times more carbon and produces 35% more oxygen than a similar stand of trees. To turn bamboo into our signature silky soft fabric requires a closed-loop viscose process. All of our viscose from bamboo is Oeko-Tex 100 certified to be sure it is chemical free before it is spun into yarn.

Organic Cotton

Choosing organic prevents harmful toxins from entering the eco-system. In fact, organic cotton can prevent a pound of chemicals from being used for every three shirts produced. As of 2010, 100% of the cotton used in our garments is certified organic. Our Made in the USA organic cotton line, launched in 2017, is super soft, pre-shrunk and garment dyed to last for years to come.

Baby Alpaca

All of our Alpaca wool is 100% Baby Alpaca that is responsibly farmed and sheared. All products are hand crafted and our apparel is fair trade certified. The first shearing of an alpaca is called ‘baby alpaca’. It is known as the softest and most prestigious fiber in the world. It is considered a supreme variety due to its durability and structure. It is light or heavy in weight, depending on how it is spun. It is a soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fiber. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and is hypoallergenic to those with lanolin allergies.

Recycled Plastic Polyester

Our Fleeced Sweatshirt is made in the USA from 50% Organic Cotton and 50% Recycled Polyester created from post-consumer plastic bottles. Post-consumer is best for the environment because it saves waste material from going into a landfill. In other words, it can be used again for a new purpose and recycled into a new product. It also makes a beautifully soft, plush and warm fleece. As of 2017, approximately 90% of all polyester used in our products is recycled, and we are working toward 100%.
